Overview
A fully serverless AWS pipeline for greenhouse monitoring: an EC2 IoT simulator publishes to SNS, fans out through SQS to Python Lambda functions, persists to DynamoDB and is served through API Gateway to a live dashboard hosted on S3. EventBridge rules run automatic actuator control every five minutes, sensor alerts go out by SNS email, and end-to-end API latency stays under 100 ms at p99.
What it delivers
- Production-style serverless architecture on AWS
- Sub-100 ms p99 latency end to end
Features
Serverless Pipeline
- EC2 IoT simulator → SNS → SQS → Lambda
- DynamoDB persistence behind API Gateway
- Static live dashboard on S3
Automation & Alerts
- EventBridge rules drive actuators every five minutes
- Real-time sensor alerts over SNS email
Performance
- End-to-end API latency under 100 ms at p99
- REST endpoints powering a live JavaScript dashboard
